October 2006: Violence Our Daily “Heavenly Father”

On December 15, 1791 the United States Bill of Rights was ratified, including the Second Amendment:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

And then……………All hell broke loose…………

October 2nd, 2006/Pennsylvania – Charles Carl Roberts, 32, entered a schoolhouse in an Amish Community, carrying two knives and 600 rounds of ammunition, lined up 11 girls against the wall, and shot them “execution style” then committed suicide.
September 29th, 2006/ Wisconsin – Eric Hainstock, 15, entered his high school and shot the Principal with a shotgun.
September 27th, 2006/Colorado – Duanne Morrison, 53, entered a high school with a handgun, took six female hostages, sexually assaulted them killed one, then committed suicide.
August 24th, 2006/Vermont – Christopher Williams, 27, entered an elementary school with a handgun, killed one person, then shot himself on the head twice, but survived……..And so on!

Four school shootings within one week period, is that the “American Born Killers” paradise or what? The United States is experiencing an increase on gun violence that is affecting collective security, especially amongst the youth…thousands of children and teenagers under the age of 19 die daily from firearms violence, giving way to heated debates on gun control and firearms regulations and starting the “blame game” of Who and what is to blame for all this violence!
Some of the elite conservatives believe that gun violence at schools is caused due to lack of Christian norms within the academic settings, others believe that is the result of weak gun control laws and regulations, some believe that all the violence is the result of a violent media….And others, with extreme political platforms just blame it on the Latinos (being one myself) and the Blacks!
A couple of Bills and Acts against gun-violence have been passed to try to “regulate” and monitor firearm violence, such as The Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act better known as the “Brady Bill” passed on November 30th, 1993, and which many people believe to be a major accomplishment.
All the Brady Bill does, is pretty much give people a five-day wait before purchasing firearms while the NICS runs background checks on those buying the firearms….this is one of the “biggest” accomplishment that the government has reached in trying to alleviate gun violence. Would you like to buy a gun? Well, then wait five days; but of course, if you don’t like to wait, then you might decide to go illegally buy one off the streets.
Let me also mention that the gun-rights lobbyists find it extremely unlawful and horrendous for anybody to try to control firearms, since is a DIRECT VIOLATION TO THE SECOND AMENDMENT on the Bill of Rights! My dear friends, if you lawfully reside within the United States of America YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE A GUN! We are in America, The Land of The Free; here we don’t accept antinomianistic ideals, we abide by agapism!
So, since trying to control guns and firearms is a violation of the United States Constitution, there should be a stop to all of the “non-sense” about gun/firearms laws, at least some people feel that way, such as U.S. Senator Richard C. Shelby, who believes that gun-control is a violation to the 2nd Amendment.
Then, Senator Shelby….should we just globalize arms? Should we also strictly impose “Our Heavenly Father” prayer into elementary schools? Should we sit down and watch how “Columbine Massacres” happen over and over again? Am I being to “hyperbolic”?
While the Bush Administration creates public hysteria over terrorists and the war on terror (and spends around $401.7 billions in doing so) children on U.S schools are being killed by our “own terrorists” like those who committed the terrorist acts (mentioned above) last week….and by the way, let me also mention that none of these killers were neither Latinos nor Blacks nor Arabs!
Before trying to fight “terrorists” in any other part of the world, I suggest we fight our own first…A free gun-violence society must be fundamental in our backyards now!
