Mammalua was formed in 2005 with the purpose of finding a place where to make music, where to find it, where to learn and enjoy it. This , that seems something obvious is a fundamental beginning in the artistic search of the
band, that many times it intuitive and many others it is originated of the inspiration and creativity.
The word mammalua has not only one meaning, it doesn't define a character or an ideal style of life. mammalua is what we found the day we began to look for what we wanted to do of our musical lives, with the art ( a word which is so little used by the Argentine rock), with friends,
with people, with music, our music. It is the means we have to communicate and transmite ideas, histories feelings, thoughts. Mammalua is a word without the arrogance of the proper name ( it is not ours, we arent't the owners) and for that reason we write it in small Letter.It is the result of the creation and wishes of thos who give it form and sense. After several live concerts and recording in demo, at the beginning of 2006 we edited our first EP independently, it has been recorded and produced by ourselves. In this material part of the aesthetics of the band is found and the work we do day after day is reflected here. It is the result of the effort of a group that believes that the only way to grow in the world of Music, such as we see it today, is producing art independently.
