GUANDUL are five young musicians, most of all from Colombia, leads by the eager Camilo Valencia. SON IDO plays with the double meaning of this title: as they explain, it is a sound that left home to live what destiny had marked to it. This work moves around different music registers: from the Cuban Son, reggae, salsa, drum’n’bass, breakbeat and rock. A mix that they have materialized without difficulty and that allow them to explain, without being boring, stories related with immigration of young people like them. They try to be optimistic to contribute a little to change the world. Beginning by themselves, changing the way Bogotá-Barcelona in a reflexive and positive travel.
