Muyayo Rif, return with their new show.
Energy, dance, a good atmosphere, glamour, and musical quality are the basic ingredients that have caused this show to have such an impact in the various places where they have played. The lyrics deal with everyday life and social problems with the spirit of optimism that characterises the band.
The band, formed in Cornellà by musicians from various places, is being widely talked about thanks to the distribution of their latest five track demo. This was just a taste of what they are currently recording in the studio and will release in the autumn of 2009 under the name “Construmon”.
Their fresh, street-wise and uninhibited sound is turning them into one of the new sensations of the fusion that is coming out of the suburbs of Barcelona. The band has been around for a while now and was involved right from the beginning with the work to combine urban sounds with hot rhythms.
On this occasion Muyayo Rif is being helped in the production process by the expert hand of Gambeat, bassist for Manu Chao and Radio Bemba and producer of groups such as Che Sudaka, La Pegatina, and the now defunct Go Lem System. There’s no doubt that Gambeat has been able to inject a lot of energy and positive rage into the sound of Muyayo Rif.
TOUR 2009
For the 2009 season Muyayo Rif have been preparing a completely renewed set-list in long sessions under the guidence of Gambeat (Bassist for Manu Chao and Radio Bemba).
Live, Muyayo Rif deliver an all-encompassing show, both visually and musically, in which the musicians interact with the public while delivering a dynamic and party-like performance. Whoever goes to see Muyayo Riff will receive a large dose of joy and positive energy.
